Welcome to the Wild West Hideout, a safe space where parents/carers can relax knowing their child is engaged in high quality play. Whether you bring your two week old or two year old, we can guarantee you will find age appropriate toys and resources.
Formally known as ‘Wild at Heart Hideaway’ The Wild West Hideout is situated on the west side of it’s sister business Wild at Heart Day Nursery and since the rebrand, has adopted the same ethos as the nursery. This is very much reflected in the room structure, the toys and opportunities available.
We offer a range of open ended resources and toys supporting the early years development of your little one. The sessions are also led by an experienced and fully educated childcare practitioner who makes it her mission to create the perfect experience for you.
So make yourself at home and enjoy spending time with your little one here in the company of other new mums, friends and family.

Our rooms
Within the Wild West Hideout you will find two main rooms and a garden area (soon to be re-developed) to explore during the sessions.
Step into a serene Wild West-inspired space where your little one can explore, play, and rest in a gentle landscape of muted greens and sandy neutrals. A peaceful desert retreat designed for curious cowboys and cowgirls in the making.
Named after the ‘American Frontier’ (historically the Old West) The Frontier room is the larger of the two rooms. This room creates a peaceful desert escape with a gentle Western twist, perfect for nurturing adventure, exploration and imagination.
Rooted in Montessori principles, our space is designed to encourage curiosity, independence and meaningful connection through intentional play.
Along with the western decor our Frontier room has accessible cupboards along the back wall with all the resources stored.
Our Starlight Sanctuary is a cosy, immersive space designed to calm the senses and promote relaxation or gentle stimulation through the use of light, sound and texture.
You will find this small room situated inside the Frontier room. 
The Ranch is a themed indoor space designed to immerse children (or even families) in the imaginative world of the Wild West.
Step into a Wild West village, recreated indoors with warm tones, wooden textures, hay bales and equine details to explore.
You will also find a shelving unit that mimics the natural form of a tree, turning storage into a decorative element.
*Our garden is currently pending a huge renovation due in November.*
Our garden is still accessible throughout our sessions with a mud kitchen area, sandpit, stepping stones and several exploration areas.

Saddle up for a slow, joyful morning (and afternoon) at the Wild West Hideout. A beautifully designed stay and play session where little explorers, from birth to preschool and their parents can enjoy time together in a western themed environment.
Whether you’re looking to make new friends, spend quality time together or simply enjoy a peaceful, playful start to your day Frontier Friends is the session to slow down and connect.

Welcome to Rode-dough, a beautifully curated session where little hands explore, create and imagine with our signature handmade, all natural playdough and a treasure trove of loose parts inspired by seasonal themes, story book characters and imaginative worlds.
Each child is presented with their own personal play station, thoughtfully set up with tools, a wooden board, and themed accessories to spark curiosity and storytelling.
From building exciting jungles to creating magical underwater scenes, every week brings a new adventure to shape and mould.

Round up the energy and let it loose at our Sundown Squad session! A lively, movement focused afterschool session based in The Ranch room and the garden. Designed for children to run, climb, balance and explore in a safe and engaging Wild West setting.
Our bespoke built Wild West climbing fort Sundown Valley, complete with tunnels, hideout areas, steps and a slide is styled to feel like a Frontier Hideout and encourages amples of physical play. Whether they’re playing sheriff, scouting for treasure or just racing and hiding from their friends, this imaginative structure supports gross motor development, confidence and creative play.
Children will also enjoy free flow access to the outdoor space, with areas for running, balancing challenges and more focused play.

Step into a world of gentle discovery where your baby can explore the wonders of nature through touch, sound, sight, and smell. This calming, sensory-rich session is designed especially for babies under one, encouraging curiosity, early development, and connection with the natural world.

Introducing RO-DE-JO Events, our new innovative partnership events business based at the Wild West Hideout. Bringing the charm of the Wild West to life through luxury decor and bespoke styling for Western themed baby showers and 1st, 2nd and 3rd birthday celebrations. Creating the most memorable events for your littlest cowboys and cowgirls, even before their arrival!
Joanne creates unforgettable, high-end experiences, inspired by rustic Western aesthetics. Using soft neutral, blush pink and sage green palettes, dreamy balloon installations and bespoke signage.
